Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and accounting, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing clients with financial guidance. Proficiency in tax and accounting software such as Lacerte and QuickBooks is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations.
- Utilize client management, tax, and accounting software used in preparation of tax returns.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather documentation necessary to prepare complete and accurate tax returns .
- Respond to client inquiries promptly.
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic.
- Proven experience in tax preparation and accounting is preferred.
- Customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Proficiency in tax and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A degree is preferred but not required.
