This position is a temp position (possibly temp-perm position) and may be at the Assistant or Associate level.

Position Overview:

The Assistant or Associate will support the Managers of Woven Fabric R&D (Mens/Womens/Denim) in sourcing and developing fabrics that meet aesthetic, cost, quality, and sustainability goals for the brand, while adhering to calendar deadlines. They will also assist in creating and maintaining the fabric resource library to research seasonal inspiration and archive Tommy Hilfiger seasonal production fabrics. This role involves supporting all aspects of researching, creating, and executing globally sourced woven fabrics that align with the brand’s aesthetic, cost, quality, and calendar requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Support RM team in seasonal development in order to cost engineer fabrics to hit price, ideal COO, aesthetic, MOQ, and LT.
    • Sending qualities to countersource to vendors/mills
    • Pulling qualities from the fabric library to propose
    • Following up with mills/vendors to ensure timely submissions
  • Partner with RM on email communication for Denim
    • FDS collection and system updates in PLM
    • Assists ordering sample yardage by season
    • Callouts on testing
    • Consolidates chart info for price, MOQ, and leadtime.
  • Ensure all handlooms and strike offs are checked and categorized accordingly each season (mens, womens, off price, kids, etc)
    • Check off HL and S/offs within charts
    • Pass HL to designs for timely comments
    • Own color comments to vendors + follow ups for resubmissions
  • Own data integrity within PLM including:
    • Fabric MID creation
    • Price updates
    • FDS updates
    • FEFs as need be
  • Organization
    • Fabric library
    • Fabric binder by season (new developments, headers)
    • Handloom and Strike-offs
  • Creation of Core boards in all categories (Mens, Womens, Kids, Denim)
  • Attend CFT meetings with woven RM team

What You Will Bring:

1. 1-4 years of basic fabric knowledge, wovens preferred

2. Attention to detail, organized

3. Product lifecycle and calendar

4. Data analytics

5. Project and priority management

6. Microsoft office suites (word, excel, powerpoint)

  • Strong excel skills are a must

7. PLM, Visulon

8. Adaptive in a quick pace environment

Pay Range:$35.00 - $45.00
