Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview/Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner provides high-quality and cost-effective medical management of patients under the care of a physician and within the scope of practice in the State of North Carolina. This role involves collaboration with physicians to coordinate and manage patient care while providing expanded primary health care services within the practitioner’s clinical specialization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical management and treatment to patients in collaboration with physicians.

• Deliver expanded primary care services to assigned patient caseloads.

• Ensure clinical practices align with state laws and institutional policies.

• Promote patient wellness through preventive care and education.

• Document medical information accurately and timely.

Primary Skills:

• Clinical expertise in acute, adult, or family practice settings

• Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in using PC-based applications

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience working in team-based care environments

• Physical and mental fitness to manage demanding healthcare settings

• Familiarity with geriatric patient care

Qualifications:

• MSN or DNP from an accredited school of nursing

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in North Carolina

• Certification in Acute Care or Adult NP (Family Practice or Geriatric certification with recent acute care experience may be considered)

• Ability to pass physical fitness requirements, including lifting up to 25 pounds and performing various physical tasks

• Functional vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices)
