Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated female Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with varying needs. The working hours will be about 40 hours per week. Housing and meals are included.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those you assist, ensuring their dignity, independence, and well-being. This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive environment while promoting personal growth and development for each individual.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Monitor and record vital signs and assist with patient observation to ensure health and safety.
- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and maintaining their independence.
- Implement care plans tailored to the specific needs of each individual, including those with dementia or requiring hospice care.
- Foster positive relationships with individuals while respecting their rights and dignity.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold resident rights at all times.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to caregiving and support.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Skills in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation are highly desirable.
- Ability to assist with meal preparation and cooking as needed.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A compassionate attitude towards individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in caregiving.
