The Field Safety Representative is responsible for conducting on-site safety inspections across DSI job sites, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting field teams in maintaining compliance with OSHA, customer, and company safety standards. This is a junior level role ideal for someone looking to build a career in safety within the construction and energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular on-site safety audits and inspections across Texas and North Dakota job sites- Identify and document safety hazards or violations, and work with crews to implement corrective actions- Support field teams with safety guidance, toolbox talks, and orientation training for new hires- Assist with incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, client, and DSI-specific safety procedures- Travel to the Bakken oil fields (North Dakota) approximately one week per month to inspect job sites and support local teams- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of safety visits, findings, and follow-ups- Collaborate with the Safety Manager to continuously improve DSI’s safety programs
Qualifications- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment), or related field preferred;  2 or more years of equivalent field experience will be considered- OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30, H2S, or Safeland preferred- Strong observational, communication, and documentation skills- Ability to travel regularly, including air and ground travel to remote job sites- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions- Valid driver’s license and clean driving recordDesign Solutions and Integration is a prominent player in industrial solutions, celebrated not only for their expertise in design and integration but also for their distinction as an employee-owned company.
