Key Responsibilities:
Sample Collection and Preparation:
Gathering samples of oil, gas, water, or other fluids from well sites or processing facilities. Preparing samples for analysis, including labeling, and storing them appropriately. Samples are collected based on the Industry standard methods from ASTM and GPA. The Field Technician may be required to function as a courier collecting client samples to return to the lab.
Field Testing:
Performing various Field Analysis using a range of equipment to determine the physical properties, H2s or Moisture Content of a sample. This will include training on the industry methods for conducting these tests. It will also required the Field Technician to work in harsh weather conditions and be open to work overtime and weekends when required.
Equipment Maintenance:
Calibrating, cleaning and maintaining Field equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of sample collection for COC records, testing procedures, and results. Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and industry standards on and off client locations by conducting JSAs.
Safety and Security:
Adhering to safety procedures when handling chemicals, equipment, hazardous materials and in transportation of samples (Perfect Driving Record). Participating in safety training and ensuring the Field facility is secure and well-maintained. The applicant will be required to wear appropriate PPE at all times and comply with all OSHA related requirements. Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Inventory Management:
Tracking inventory of Field supplies and equipment, submitting orders for replacements when needed.
Waste Management:
Properly disposing of hazardous waste materials resulting from Field Sampling.
Communication and Collaboration:
Strong Communication skills needed to convey test results and findings to other team members, working collaboratively to address issues and improve performance. The ability to read and understand methods used to perform sampling and analysis. The ability to resolve potential conflicts or de-escalate, by employing effective communication.
