The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance. This role ensures that financial processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Develop, monitor, and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
· Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
· Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
· Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
· Present financial results and key metrics to senior leadership, providing clear explanations, and recommendations.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate reporting requirements.
· Monitor cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational and strategic needs.
· Assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets.
· Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.
· Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant financial regulations.
· Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, including accountants and analysts.
· Provide guidance on investment opportunities, cost-saving measures, and long-term financial strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
This position requires an individual with the following skills/attributes
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in financial management, planning, or accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
· Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
· Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
