Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the utility work crew to ensure safe traffic movement around the work zone in compliance with safety regulations.
- Flag motorists and vehicles to alert them to obstacles or ongoing repairs.
- Maintain safety for both the work zone and passing vehicles at all times.
- Set up traffic control devices (signs, cones, barricades) as needed per job assignment.
- Direct traffic flow in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
- Clear and professional communication with clients, co-workers and general public.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle — must be able to travel to and from job sites (some sites may be up to 2 hours away)
- Smartphone — used for schedules, communication, and check-ins
- Strong communication skills — flaggers stay in constant contact with the crew
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather
Schedule: Monday – Friday, up to 40 hours/week
- Hours vary based on weather and project demands throughout the year
- Overtime may be available during peak seasons

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $19.25 per hour
