Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within the facility. This role is crucial for maintaining a smooth workflow in shipping and receiving operations while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including order pickers, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks, to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize pallet jacks and other equipment for heavy lifting and moving items as needed.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving processes.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by utilizing a warehouse management system to track product locations and quantities.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets for shipment and organize stock in designated areas.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks associated with heavy machinery operation.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
DL-Valid Driver's License Class C
Required Forklift certification (class 1,3,4)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Required -1 year basic experience as typically acquired in a similar environment.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of basic math and alpha filing systems is required.
Preferred: knowledge of hospital-based materials management information systems, shipping/receiving and distribution.
Accuracy, attention to detail, timeliness, organization, prioritization, working with numbers.
Ability to accurately count and restock supplies using electronic device.
Ability to accurately use the materials / inventory and billing computerized systems.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Experience:
- Material Management, shipping/receiving and distribution: 1 year (Required)
- Hospital/Healthcare/Medical: 1 year (Preferred)
