About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Formulator to join a dynamic nutraceutical team in Cherry Hill, NJ. This is an on-site role ideal for candidates who are passionate about product development, innovation, and hands-on R&D formulation. You will play a critical role in developing and optimizing powder-based products in a fast-paced, trend-responsive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and refine nutraceutical powder formulations based on market trends and client needs
- Work with R&D teams to evaluate raw materials, ensure ingredient compatibility, and conduct stability testing
- Manage material sorting and inventory tracking for formulation batches
- Collaborate with production and QA teams to ensure formulations are scalable and compliant
- Document formulations, results, and technical specifications
- Troubleshoot formulation issues and proactively suggest improvements
- Maintain knowledge of current nutraceutical trends, regulatory guidelines, and functional ingredients
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in nutraceutical or dietary supplement formulation, with a focus on powders
- Strong understanding of functional ingredients, flavor systems, and nutrient interactions
- Experience in bench-top formulation and transitioning to pilot/commercial scale
- Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, and label compliance standards
- Comfortable working with natural, organic, and trend-based product lines
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, or related field (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,962.54 - $100,825.84 per year
