Job description
Position summary:
As an Installer for Fortress Modular Walls, you will be responsible for the on-site installation of modular wall systems in healthcare environments. This position requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Installers must be able to read and interpret construction drawings, handle physical labor, utilize their carpentry skills and maintain a professional demeanor while representing the Fortress brand on job sites.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
- Install Fortress modular wall systems according to project specifications and installation manuals.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and installation plans.
- Safely use hand and power tools to assemble wall panels, doors, frames, and accessories.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including daily reports and field changes.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, project managers, general contractors, and other trades.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe worksite in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and assist in on-site problem-solving.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and inventorying materials as needed.
- Travel to various project locations, including overnight stays when necessary.
Education & special trainings:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Qualifications & experience:
- 2+ years of construction, carpentry, or modular installation experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of construction tools and techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to travel as needed.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented.

- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work on ladders, and perform physical labor in varying site conditions.
