The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests and visitors. This role requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask efficiently while providing outstanding customer service. The Front Desk Agent will handle guest check-ins and check-outs, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Handle guest check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently
- Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications via the booking system
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries in person, by phone, or email
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
- Process payments and handle billing with accuracy
- Maintain guest records and update the front desk system
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready
- Address and resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality experience preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
