What You’ll Do
- Prepare high-quality subs with fresh, premium ingredients
- Deliver excellent customer service with energy and positivity
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
- Support your team during fast-paced shifts
- Be present, reliable, and ready to learn and lead
Compensation & Starting Pay
- Starting training pay: $13.00/hour + guaranteed tips (typically $2.00+/hour)
- Average pay during training: $15.00+/hour
- With each level of training completed, you’ll receive a raise and a new base rate
- Promotions are earned—not given—and based on performance, reliability, adherence to our core values, and your ability to consistently meet our non-negotiables
Path to Advancement
Crew Member → Shift Leader → Manager-in-Training (MIT) → Operator-in-Training (OIT Levels 1–3) → Store Operator
Once you’ve demonstrated leadership and reliability, you’ll begin your MIT journey. From there, you’ll advance through three levels of Operator-in-Training (OIT)—each designed to prepare you for managing your own store.
Each OIT Level Includes:
- A raise upon completion
- Hands-on leadership training — Be the best sub maker. Be a Sub Above.
- A full evaluation through a Stability Report, including:
- Team performance
- Food safety
- Cleanliness and store standards
- Completion of Corporate Phase 1, 2, and 3 training milestones
- Completion of Manager Evaluation and Performance Review
- Consistency in shift leadership and team development
- Living out our core values and meeting all non-negotiables
Progression is based on readiness—not time. The more consistent and coachable you are, the faster you grow.
Post-Training Roles & Compensation
Lead Assistant:
- Up to $18.00/hour (including tips)
- 45 hours/week with overtime after 40 hours
- Estimated annual income: $44,460 (pre-tax)
Store Operator:
- Earn up to $74,000/year
- Includes monthly performance bonuses and year-end bonuses
- Bonuses based on labor, food cost, and sales goals
