URGENTLY Seeking Full-Time School Nurse
Philadelphia Montessori Charter School (PMCS) is urgently seeking a FULL-TIME school nurse to provide services to our students for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. This is an in-person, 12-month, 40 hours/week position.
Essential Duties
- Promote proper health and hygiene with students
- Administer medications as prescribed and as needed for students
- Maintain and update student immunization and health records in our student information system
- Conduct mandated health screenings for compliance
- Communicate with parents around student health-related issues
- Collaborate with the School Physician when and if necessary
- Identify signs of COVID, and monitor student and family quarantine periods
- Assist with the completion of the SHARRS Report
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a health related or nursing field; BSN preferred
- Current RN license in the State of PA required
- Current CPR/ AED Certification
Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
Experience: Three (3) years nursing experience preferred. Two (2) years school setting experience.
Salary: Starting at 70k/annually - Benefits - PTO - Holidays and Weekends off. - SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE!!
