Offering Gas Station manager position in north coastal area
Gas station, small convenience store and car wash
Candidate must be honest, reliable, flexible, on time, have reliable transportation, be able to multitask, work under pressure and be available to work various shifts if needed.
Previous gas station and supervision experience preferable.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervision and Training of employees including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, coaching and evaluating employee performances. Ensure employees provide excellent customer service, complete assigned tasks, ask ID for tobacco sales and their concerns are addressed.
- Customer Service by providing customer assistance, handling customer inquiries, resolving customer complaints and ensuring high quality customer service.
- Ensuring Compliance by adhering to all company, local, state, and federal regulations, as well as safety and security protocols.
- Security Control including providing safe environment for employees and customers. Reporting and documenting all incidents. Protecting company assets such as merchandise, cash, information and property.
- Inventory Control including ordering merchandise and fuel, keeping track of fuels levels and tobacco inventory.
- Station and Store Condition:
- Ensure the station, pumps, restroom and carwash are clean.
- Merchandise, coffee and restroom are properly stocked.
- Merchandise is rotated, expired items are removed promptly and marked for credit from vendors.
- Ensure employees perform all assigned tasks such as trash removal, parking lot and carwash check, assist customers, sweep and mop all floors, keep their area clean, keep register cash to a minimum, drop money, close shift and complete their shift report.
- Ensure equipment is functional and call vendors when repair is needed.
- Merchandising:
- Order, price and stock merchandise.
- Monitor profit margin.
- Communicate with vendors and fuel company.
- Administrative:
- Ensure all shift reports are completed.
- Pull daily report, carwash report and monthly report.
- Complete necessary paperwork such as daily book, expense report, inventory report, car wash report.
- Count cash and deposit to the bank.
- Review and question over/shortages and discrepancies.
- Generate bi-weekly payroll reports and send them to the payroll company.
- Generate and create schedule
- Change gas prices at the direction of ownership.
- Working Condition includes:
- Direct and frequent contact with customers and vendors.
- Standing for extended period of time.
- Handling cash.
- Lifting or moving boxes/cartons of merchandise around 20 pounds.
- Occasionally climbing ladder to place/Change signage.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Manager must be available to help customers and employees at any time. Manager needs to ensure that all shifts are covered, find alternate people to cover shift and cover shift is no other replacement is available.
- Manager needs to be able to cover all shifts, including weekends if needed.
The gas station operates all year, including weekends, and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
