Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental issues, performing various dental procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and patient comfort. Experience in pediatric dentistry and proficiency with Open dental software is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations to determine oral health needs.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including but not limited to dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide high-quality patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques through continuous education.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as open dental is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Demonstrated ability to perform dental procedures with precision and care.
