Heritage Health Food, a manufacturer of frozen vegetarian foods, is accepting applications for a full-time general production worker who would work in packing and/or production. Hours are Monday-Thursday from 5:45 am through 4:15 pm.
As a General Worker, your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity.
- Assume an active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.
- Follow all company safety rules
- Could be assigned to the production of products, packing finished goods, or mixing ingredients
- Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel and work as a team
- Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems is an asset
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to do simple math accurately
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in a production type situation where you would need to bend and do light lifting of less than 50 lb.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Must have reliable transportation to be at work on time each and every day
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to understand food safety rules
