Austin Industrial is currently seeking a General Foreman to join our staff located at Luling, LA. They must be able to supervise crews of carpenters, laborers, etc. Responsible for coordinating and training. Consulting with clients and contractors, assigns tasks, making sure jobs are done on time, and monitoring performance.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages trades (i.e. Carpenters, Laborers); Coordinates safety inspections
- Responsible for ensuring that individuals who work under him/her, carry out their tasks and duties diligently and effectively for successful completion.
- Ensures that all equipment and facilities needed by workers to enable them work effectively are made available and are in good condition.
- Ensures that workers maintain a high level of quality of the work.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications:
- Experience – 5+ years of Journeyman level and supervisory experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Willing and able to work in shop settings and field environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Meet physical demands as listed above
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment
