This position is located at our Sunburst Memorials Headquarters in St. Cloud, also known as the Granite City, is home to several parks and attractions highlighting our granite mining history. For example, Quarry Park and Nature Preserve is a 683 acre preserve with 20 former granite quarries and is a great place to swim, scuba, fish, climb, or admire.
Position Description:
Our General Laborers play a crucial role in assisting across several areas within the memorial manufacturing process. Sunburst Memorials is looking for motivated individuals with a high attention to detail to contribute to our growing team. This position will allow you to cross-train and develop new skills. This position has a wage range of $19 - $23 hourly.
Essential Functions:
- Material Handling: safely operate an overhead crane, conveyors, and forklift to move and stage stone products.
- Sandblasting Operations & Stone Detailing: apply stencil designs for sandblasting, operate sandblasting and laser etching equipment, assist with stone detailing and crating processes.
- Drilling & Assembly: Assist in the process of drilling, attaching accessories and assembling stone products.
- Work Order Review & Product Quality: ensure customer specifications are met by reviewing work orders and ensuring that products meet Sunburst quality standards.
- Organization & Safety Compliance: maintain an organized workspace, and adhering to safety and work rules
- Team Collaboration & Cross-Training: collaborate with team members to meet production targets while cross-training and providing support in other roles as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to proof-read orders ensuring accuracy
- Problem solving skills
Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Preferred Experience:
- 1+ year of previous sandblasting or granite experience
Working Conditions/Physical demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to a height of 5 ft with no assistance
- Pushing, pulling, kneeling, bending, and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions occasionally
- A pre-employment physical and drug screen is required prior to hire
