Key Duties:
- Site Preparation: Clearing debris and obstacles; setting up and dismantling temporary structures like fences or barriers.
- Material Handling: Loading/unloading and transporting construction materials across the site.
- Concrete Work: Mixing, pouring, spreading, and finishing concrete.
- Excavation and Digging: Digging trenches or holes; assisting with excavation and grading activities.
- Demolition: Assisting in demolishing structures or removing unwanted materials using proper tools and PPE.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Keeping tools, equipment, and job sites clean and organized.
- Safety Support: Setting up safety barriers and signage; strictly following safety protocols.
- Erecting and Dismantling Structures: Helping build and remove scaffolding, shoring, and concrete formwork.
- Landscaping: Performing tasks like planting, grading, and erosion control within or near construction zones.
- Traffic Control: Directing on-site traffic; setting up traffic control devices when required.
- Tool Maintenance: Cleaning, organizing, and checking tools to ensure proper functionality.
- Assisting Equipment Operators: Guiding and supporting operators during excavation or material handling.
- Emergency Response: Participating in drills and responding to emergency situations per site protocols.
- General Assistance: Carrying out various tasks as assigned by supervisors and project managers with flexibility and a can-do attitude.
