Come join the Hillendale Home Care team! We are a home care agency working with senior clients in Contra Costa and Alameda counties and looking for a General Manager to lead our teams in Walnut Creek and Oakland. This role will partner with leadership to plan, design, and oversee daily business operations for both locations ensuring that Staffing and Client Care teams are following processes, protocols, and policies around our clients care plans and needs. Overall accountability for ensuring exceptional care, adherence to regulatory compliance, team performance, and financial growth and sustainability.
This job is located onsite in Walnut Creek, Monday-Friday.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for planning and overseeing the daily operations of the business to ensure financial and performance goals and objectives are achieved.
- Manage day-to-day operations including staffing, scheduling, service delivery, and client satisfaction.
- Develop strategic plans to grow the business through partnership with sales and marketing in order to achieve profit goals.
- Partner with Client Care team to determine pricing strategies and staffing needs to meet business goals and client expectations.
- Accountable for developing business operations policies and practices, and coordinating actions with direct reports and team members.
- Ensure systems and workflows support efficiency, compliance, and high-quality care.
- Accountable for representing the business in public settings including community events.
- Maintain high client satisfaction through service excellence and proactive relationship management.
- Lead quality initiatives, including audits, care plan reviews, and incident management.
- Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal home care regulations (DSS).
- Management of a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the team.
- Promote a strong internal service mindset and cross-functional collaboration.
- Foster a positive and accountable team culture centered on integrity, compassion, and performance.
- Drive company and personal vehicle for company business including visiting new and existing clients.

Requirements
Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in business management, marketing, or related field; or equivalent work experience in the home care industry.
- 7+ years of direct team management experience in the home care industry.
- 3+ years of direct experience as a general manager or executive director in the senior living industry.
- Experience as an RN/LVN and/or Administrator of a senior living community.
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-million dollar operations and leading large teams.
- Strong knowledge of home care operations, compliance standards, and service models.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management, and performance optimization.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
- Strong proficiency with Google Workspace apps (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
- Must have clear driving record and pass a fingerprint background check.
