The Team: The Global Brand Insights (GBI) team is the engine behind data-driven decision-making. We blend deep category expertise with analytics to deliver insights that shape strategy, fuel innovation, and drive commercial success across iconic toy brands. Job Description
The Opportunity: As a GBI Industry Insights Business Analyst, you will transform complex toy industry data into actionable insights that shape strategic brand, product, and commercial decisions. You’ll be at the forefront of identifying category trends, tracking competitive shifts, and uncovering the drivers behind performance. You will manage end-to-end reporting processes, build & maintain high-quality dashboards, and contribute to major business initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to sharpen analytical skills, gain broad exposure across functions, and make a direct impact in a dynamic and creative industry.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Lead with insights: Translate large, complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives that inform brand, product, and strategy decisions.
- Shape business priorities: Track toy category trends, emerging competitors, and top-performing products to influence strategic direction.
- Deliver with excellence: Build and maintain reporting processes (weekly, monthly, quarterly) with accuracy, consistency, and visual clarity.
- Support key initiatives: Provide analytical support for annual planning, customer meetings, and other projects.
- Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reporting tools, and elevate data storytelling.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a curious, proactive, and detail-oriented analyst who thrives at connecting the dots between data and business outcomes.
- Analytics Expertise: Skilled with third party quantitative data. Comfortable with large datasets and deriving insights through data analysis and synthesis of varied data. Skilled at uncovering the “why” behind data patterns and connecting insights to business implications.
- Solution-Oriented: Proactively identifies opportunities and recommendations.
- Strong Communicator: Able to clearly and confidently present findings to a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Results-Driven: Ensures accuracy, clarity, and timeliness in all deliverables.
- Collaborative Mindset: Thrives in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment while working independently when needed
- Flexibility: Ability to efficiently handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in business analytics, insights, consulting, or related role.
- Strong working knowledge of syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana/IRI/NPD, Numerator) preferred.
- Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
- Advanced skills in Excel and comfort working with large datasets; SQL or other query language experience a plus.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
