SBG Corp has partnered with Hueman to find a full-time Global Human Capital Manager to join their team in Rockford, Tennessee.
The Global Human Capital Manager is responsible for supporting and monitoring Human Capital policies and procedures company-wide, and serving as an active champion for the company’s global employee strategies. The selected candidate supports multiple business units: SASE Company, Bartell Global (US division, Canada division, and UK division), and SL Diamond (S. Korea); all owned under the banner of a holding company SBG Holdings, Inc. Bartell joined SASE in November 2021 and together they enjoy a significant presence in the surface preparation, concrete polishing, and concrete construction industries. SL Diamond was acquired in 2022 and is a leading global producer of industrial diamond metal tooling used with the company’s equipment products. This role is the primary professional human capital resource for the business, working closely with a network of cross-functional colleagues to instill and maintain established human capital disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition / Work Force Planning / Retention / Succession Planning
- Lead talent acquisition and recruiting efforts.
- Initiate new hire onboarding, preparing offer letters, ordering background checks, coordinating with Information Technology/Accounting/Hiring Managers, and performing and/or ensuring accurate data entry into the various business unit payroll platforms of record.
- Foster an efficient and conflict-free workplace, coaching team members regarding performance concerns and other opportunities for improvement.
- Execute performance management and employee performance reviews.
- Promote processes in support of employee development, career progressions, and succession planning.
- Execute offboarding procedures and processes for employees exiting the company.
Compensation / Performance Management / Benefits
- Lead the annual employee benefits renewal process, working closely with a benefits Broker/partner.
- Lead annual payroll processes such as merit increases, bonus payments, commission plans and support of Payroll Accountant in execution of pay cycles.
- Monitor employee vacation, leave, sickness records (etc.) to ensure accuracy.
- Serve as primary contact for the administration of the company’s 401 (k) plan.
- Oversee leaves of absence (short-term disability) and worker’s compensation claims.
Communications / Culture / Engagement
- Be available to the employee population for questions, counsel, and arbitration of HC-related issues.
- Prepare communications and training centered around annual employee benefits offering.
- Engage with Operations and/or Sales organizations in ensuring safety and compliance vis-à-vis drivers of company-owned vehicles, in-plant vehicle operators (e.g., forklift drivers), etc.
- Support company communication practices including preparation of employee newsletters.
- Other duties within the scope of this exempt position, including assistance with organizing employee events, offsite meetings, etc.
Compliance / Administration
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations as a multistate, ALE employer.
- Assist in crafting all Human Capital policies and procedures (e.g., Employee Handbook), their distribution and explanation, and answering employee questions regarding such policies.
- Serve as primary point-of-contact with outside legal counsel on employee matters as directed.
Qualifications:
- 5 - 15 years of experience as an HR Generalist, including experience with recruitment, benefits, employee relations, regulatory compliance, payroll, and 401K.
- Basic to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
- SHRM or PHR certification preferred
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus
- Ability to work on-site in Rockford, Tennessee.
