Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Government Service Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to local governments in Illinois, helping them navigate complex challenges, construct and monitor budgets, provide HR advice and various complex problem solving. You will leverage your skills in finance, management, business analysis, planning, written and verbal communication, and public speaking, to deliver tailored solutions that promotes efficient and effective government.
The complexity of this work requires 12-18 months of training under the guidance of an experienced Government Services Consultant.
Responsibilities
- First year serving as second chair to experienced consultant. Conducting research, attending meetings, developing documents.
- Provide management consulting services that focus on government performance improvement and efficiency.
- Conduct business analysis to assess current operations and recommend actionable strategies for enhancement.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction through effective communication and follow-up.
Experience
- Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Word a plus. More is better.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research complex issues and provide insightful recommendations.
