SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Cogent Legal is seeking a dynamic, curious, and team-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Mock Trial, Jury Consulting, and Trial Graphics team which is composed of attorneys, designers, and consultants.

We are Cogent Legal, a company established in 2011 and founded by a former litigator who combined his passion for design and graphics with his love of law. Our company has achieved significant success over the years and is a prominent nationwide trial consulting firm.
What we expect in this role:
· The ideal candidate is someone with 2 to 7 years of graphic design experience as a designer and has a passion for creative challenges, learning new things, and the skills to prove it.
· Ability to travel to mock trial and focus group events and remain flexible with client expectations.
· Make design decisions that are right for the project, including brainstorming, strategizing, and meeting or exceeding the needs of our clients. We know that great designers do more than make projects visually appealing; they need to be great creative problem solvers.
· In this role, you will be expected to be able to drive projects independently.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
· Work within a dynamic team structure with a variety of case types.
· Edit, design, and create assets for all stages of presentations.
· Collaborate with other creatives and attorneys to brainstorm narrative solutions.
· Have a love and mastery of PowerPoint, Photoshop , Premier Pro, and Illustrator and feel very comfortable with the other Adobe Creative Suite programs.
· Continuously hone your craft and job knowledge, consuming tutorial videos, looking at competitors' and other industry work.
· Experience with project management.
· Ability to travel to events with the mock trial team nationwide (majority in California).
· Ability to take constructive feedback from both management and clients.
BONUS POINTS, BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Prior experience with narrative structure
· A background in the law, psychology, or web design
· Experience in data visualization
EDUCATION
BA, BFA B.Arch, and/or MFA required
Preferred degrees: Visual Arts, Design, Illustration or Architecture
Open to other backgrounds/education
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
· Salary Range: The salary range will start at $75,000 - $100,000 but may be higher, depending on the candidate's specific skill sets and past employment experience.

· This is primarily a remote role, but we encourage employees to come into our Sacramento-area office to check in with others, and/or may work at the office as much as they like.
