Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Graphics Manager to lead our in-house graphics department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, print production, and project management, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality visual assets for large-format applications, specifically within the tradeshow exhibit industry. This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to ensure seamless execution of all graphic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Graphics Production & Management:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of graphic projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to client specifications, brand guidelines, and production deadlines.
- Manage and prioritize multiple graphic projects simultaneously, optimizing workflow and resource allocation.
- Working with the engineering team on the creation of graphic templates.
- Ensure all graphic files are pre-flighted, color-corrected, and prepared accurately for large-format printing on various substrates.
- Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to ensure graphic elements integrate seamlessly with structures.
- Stay up to date with the latest graphic design software, printing technologies, and industry trends.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any graphic-related production issues.
- Maintain graphic inventory across multiple clients and divisions.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Develop and implement best practices for graphic design and production processes.
- Work in conjunction with our Industrial Design team on speculative concept graphics.
- Quality Control:
- Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure all graphics meet the highest standards of accuracy, color fidelity, and visual impact.
- Conduct final proofing and approval of all printed graphics.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external print vendors when outsourcing specialized graphic production.
- Negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of outsourced materials.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or equivalent related experience.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in graphic design, print production and management.
- Extensive experience with large-format graphics for tradeshow exhibits is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is essential.
- Strong understanding of color management, print processes (dye-sublimation, UV printing, vinyl graphics, etc.), and materials used in exhibit fabrication.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with 3D rendering software or exhibit design software (e.g., SolidWorks, SketchUp, FormZ) is a plus.
