Position Summary:
We’re looking for a hardworking and safety-focused Groundsman to join our team. This role involves supporting tree care operations on-site, including debris cleanup, equipment handling, and assisting climbers with tree removals and pruning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive to and from job sites across the St. Louis area (intrastate travel only)
- Assist tree climbers with removals, pruning, and other arborist tasks
- Remove limbs, branches, and other debris from work areas
- Haul brush and logs to trucks or designated locations
- Operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and ropes
- Maintain a safe job site by following safety guidelines and using PPE
- Perform cleanup duties at the end of each job
- Participate in planting and maintaining trees, as needed
Qualifications:
- Required: Valid Class B CDL
- Preferred: Valid Class A CDL
- Ability to pass DOT initial physical
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in groundskeeping or tree care
- ISA Certification preferred (higher pay offered with certification)
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Comfort working with power tools and in noisy environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic understanding of tree care practices and equipment use
Schedule & Compensation:
- 4 to 5 workdays per week (4 guaranteed)
- 8–10 hour workdays
- Daily pay available
- Competitive compensation (depending on experience and certifications)
