As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful hair designs while ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and safety in the salon environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide a range of hair services including cuts, colors, and styles tailored to clients' needs and preferences.
- Consult with clients to understand their desired looks and offer professional advice on hair care and maintenance.
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Promote retail products effectively by utilizing upselling techniques and demonstrating knowledge of retail math.
- Assist clients with hair extensions and eyelash extensions as needed, ensuring proper application techniques are followed.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and color theory to provide clients with current styles.
- Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication and exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
- Proficiency in using salon software; familiarity with MINDBODY is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hair extensions application techniques and eyelash extension services is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to perform retail sales functions, including upselling products based on client needs.
- Understanding of sanitation practices in accordance with industry standards.
- Knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate shades for their hair.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $7.25 - $24.21 per hour
