Head of Security
Location: Kuwait, Relocation Required, Assistance provided

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Campus Safety and Security, the Head of Security is responsible for overseeing all aspects of campus security operations. This role ensures the safety of students, staff, and visitors through strong leadership, effective enforcement of policies, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Only candidates with prior experience in Western law enforcement or military service will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily campus security operations and ensure consistent enforcement of safety procedures.
- Maintain a safe environment for the university community in line with institutional policies and the student code of conduct.
- Oversee access control and monitor the entry and exit of all individuals on campus.
- Manage parking and traffic safety across campus grounds.
- Supervise and support the hiring, training, and scheduling of security personnel.
- Prepare regular security reports, incident logs, and briefings for university leadership.
- Assist with planning and oversight of security for special events and projects.
- Update and enforce emergency response protocols and security policies.
- Serve as a liaison with local authorities and external security services as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO or university leadership.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior service in a Western law enforcement agency or military organization.
- Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a security or operational command role.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities in English.
- High attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with standard security tools and systems.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and respond to emergencies when needed.
