Successful, fast-paced environmental construction company located in Kelso, Washington is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. We specialize in medium to large environmental construction projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.
The selected candidate(s) will be responsible for assisting the Site Superintendent with operating Heavy Equipment, and other tasks as assigned, on our projects.

Duties
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner; such as Bulldozers, Excavators, Loaders and Dump Trucks
- Maintain project schedule and production requirements per Site Superintendent and Project Manager
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
- Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
- Understand, interpret, and follow directions from supervisors as to required work tasks
- Carry out supervisor-assigned duties, not limited to equipment operation
- This position requires overnight and out of town travel approximately 70% of the year (home on weekends)
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years heavy equipment operator experience
- Knowledge of heavy equipment - including basic maintenance & safety checks
- Understanding of computerized controls and electronics
- Familiarity with safety protocols for construction and equipment use
Certifications and Training will be provided upon hire; however, preference will be given to candidates with current Certifications and Training, i.e. the following:
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER / 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Training
- First Aid / CPR / AED Certified
- Clearance to wear a respirator
- Able to demonstrate competency in equipment operation
Physical Demand
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, talk and hear.
- The ideal candidate may occasionally be required to climb, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The ideal candidate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs (as part of a buddy/team lift).
- Use personal protection equipment as required.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts or in outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to inclement weather, heat, humidity and exposure to dust.
