We specialize in high-quality civil construction services, and we're looking for a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator (Fine Grade) to join our team and help us continue to raise the bar.
As a Fine Grade Heavy Equipment Operator at Nino Development, you'll play a key role in site preparation and grading, working with tight tolerances to achieve a precise final grade. Your attention to detail and experience with finish grading will ensure the success of our construction projects, from residential developments to commercial sites.
We are looking for experienced operators who take pride in their work, know how to read grades, and can operate equipment with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment such as motor graders, bulldozers, skid steers, and excavators to perform fine grading.
- Work closely with site supervisors, grade checkers, and other team members to meet project specs and timelines.
- Interpret site plans, grade stakes, and GPS systems (Trimble or Topcon a plus).
- Maintain safety and operational standards at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Ensure accurate grading to within tolerance for curb, sidewalk, building pads, and asphalt prep.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation with an emphasis on fine grade work.
- Proven ability to read and interpret grade stakes and construction plans.
- Familiarity with GPS grade control systems (preferred).
- Strong understanding of slope, elevation, and drainage.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work in outdoor environments.
