We are seeking an experienced, skilled and reliable Equipment Operator/Pipe Layer to join our team. Pay is based solely on experience. We are a local family owned and operated construction business with 20 years experience and a highly sought after clientele and rapport. We offer a fast paced, year-round high performance work environment, including but not limited to residential and commercial site development, as well as prevailing wage jobs. As an Equipment Operator/Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to site work and underground utilities. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in excavation and site development
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor for extended periods of time
- Familiarity with hand tools and heavy equipment used in underground utility and general excavation
- Basic understanding of construction techniques and materials
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to read construction plans and understand specifications
- Must speak, read, and understand English; bi-lingual preferred
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to recognize issues
- Ability to set lines and grades
After 60-day probationary period benefit package includes:
- 40 hours PTO/sick time for the first five years of employment, 5-10 years is 60 hours and 10+ years is 80 hours per calendar year
