Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA) or Personal Care Aid (PCA) for our Home Health division. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires strong communication kills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently while managing a caseload of patients with varying needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and document changes in patients' conditions.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and caregiving techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including cooking and personal care as needed.
- Advocate for the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and other disabilities.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately.
- CPR certification is required.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or home health setting is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases effectively.
