Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support and care to our clients in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, ensuring medical documentation is accurately maintained, and fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and transferring safely from one location to another.
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with catheter care and other medical needs as directed by healthcare providers.
- Foster positive relationships with clients through compassionate caregiving and companionship.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Ability to perform caregiving tasks including personal hygiene assistance, meal preparation, and light cleaning duties.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A caring demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
