Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homemaker to provide essential support and care to individuals in need. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly with seniors or individuals with disabilities, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and monitor vital signs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space by performing household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Support clients in social activities and community engagement to enhance their quality of life.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to appropriate personnel.
- Implement safety protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment is beneficial.
