Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Communicate wait times to guests and provide updates as necessary.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Utilize POS systems, including Aloha POS, for managing reservations and orders when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
- Knowledge of food service operations is a plus.
- Experience with guest services or hotel environments is advantageous.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are essential.
