Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our team in providing exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons while efficiently managing the front-of-house operations. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to guest relations, ensuring that every visitor has a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage the seating chart and efficiently assign tables based on guest flow and server availability.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the Aloha POS system, processing payments and issuing receipts only with pick up orders.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with reservations and inquiries regarding menu items or services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand and dining space.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, enhancing overall customer service experience.
- Assist in training new staff members on front-of-house procedures and customer service expectations.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and communication.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
