Job Overview
VAPIANO is seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. Your exceptional communication skills and attention to detail will be essential as you manage reservations, greet guests, and coordinate seating arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage the flow of guests in the restaurant, ensuring timely seating while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
- Handle phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, providing information about the menu and restaurant services.
- Utilize the Aloha POS system to manage reservations and track guest seating.
- Assist with guest relations by addressing any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Support the restaurant team during busy periods by assisting with guest services as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly MICROS / ORACLE POS, is a plus.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
