Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Hotel Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel, providing exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the Hotel Manager in various administrative and operational tasks. This position requires a strong background in hospitality management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Hotel Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise hotel staff, including desk agents, housekeeping staff and maintenance.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally to enhance guest relations and maintain high standards of service.
- Support revenue management strategies by monitoring occupancy rates and assisting with scheduling, ordering, and room rates.
- Coordinate human resources functions including staff training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Manage night audit procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting at the end of each day.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and emergency protocols to ensure compliance.
- Foster a positive work environment by leading by example and promoting teamwork among staff.
Skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests.
- Proven experience in supervising staff within a hospitality setting is essential.
- Strong background in hospitality management with knowledge of hotel operations.
- Familiarity with revenue management principles to maximize profitability.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Experience in hotel management or related roles is preferred.
- Proficiency in human resources practices relevant to the hospitality industry.
- Strong budgeting skills to assist in financial planning and cost control.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Proficient in front desk & night audit operations
- Strong guest relations skills to build rapport with guests
