80 bed Skilled Nursing Facility (and growing!)

- $12.00 per hour
- Must be able to pass background checks
- TB test and Flu vaccine is required
HOUSEKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION
Implement facility housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements. This position is a safety sensitive position as defined by applicable state law.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o At least one (1) year housekeeping experience in a related field preferred.

o Communicate with residents, families and staff in a professional and tactful manner.

o Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:
o Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing and pulling, fine hand coordination, ability to hear and respond to pages, ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions; ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, vendors and consultants; ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures; and the ability to remain calm under stress.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Assuring resident safety.
o Implement housekeeping policies and procedures to meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
o Participate in the monitoring system for the housekeeping department.
o Notify supervisor when supplies are needed, equipment is in need of repair or when areas of the facility are in need of repair.
o Use housekeeping supplies efficiently.
o Follow material safety data sheets.
o Operate housekeeping equipment safely. Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment. Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor.
o Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
o Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
o To observe infection control procedures at all times.
o These duties and responsibilities are not a comprehensive list, and additional tasks may be assigned from time to time. The scope of this position may change as necessitated by business demands.
