Children's Wisconsin has an opportunity for a Human Research Protection Program Analyst to join our team.

Location: Remote

What you will do:

This position is responsible for helping to ensure research at Children’s Wisconsin (CW) is conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and ethical principles, as well as the policies and procedures of the CW Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and the IRB of record, promoting excellence in the conduct of research involving children. The incumbent will c onduct timely reviews of reliance requests and submissions for local context considerations, provide consultation and support to researchers and research staff, and conduct quality assurance /post approval monitoring reviews of ongoing research.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical, health science, social sciences or related field.

  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the stated requirements and will be considered.

  • Three years of experience with human subject research regulations that includes interpreting and applying many complex and sometimes disparate applicable regulations/guidelines

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Certified IRB Professional (CIP) or Certified IRB Coordinator/Manager (CIC/CIM) preferred.

  • Three years of direct IRB, HRPP, or Reliance/Local Context experience.

  • Experience with IRB/HRPP electronic submission platforms (e.g. IRBNet, Huron Click, IRB Manager).

  • Strong analytic skills and ability to manage multiple, complex activities while maintaining close attention to detail and meeting established timelines.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply institutional policies and practices to various research studies.

  • Sound judgment, excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Must be able to apply knowledge and expertise within the context of the review of specific and very different types of research activities conducted at CW.

  • Excellent customer service, proofreading, prioritization and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent oral, written, and electronic communication skills, able to interact with a wide range of professional levels

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with other remote colleagues.

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-changing environment.

  • Knowledge of word processing software, databases, and Adobe.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • This position is entirely remote so the conditions are a normal in home office with a setting conducive to quiet work, with internet and phone capabilities. There is no potential for exposure to blood or other high risk body fluids.
