The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead our growing people function. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will support and mentor two HR Generalists while directly managing strategic HR initiatives, ensuring compliance, and partnering with business leaders to shape our culture and talent strategies.
This is not a sit-back-and-delegate role-we need someone who enjoys being in the weeds when needed, but who can also think strategically as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise, mentor, and continue to develop two HR Generalists, ensuring consistent and high-quality HR support across all business units.
- Act as the HR partner to senior leadership, advising on people strategy, workforce planning, and organizational development.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Involvement in payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems (in conjunction with the generalists).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Standardize policies and procedures across multiple entities.Talent & Culture
- Partner with leaders to improve recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Lead performance management processes, employee engagement programs, and training initiatives.
- Champion Higley Group’s culture while helping us scale in a way that preserves our locally owned, employee-centered values.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits, and HR best practices.
- Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment preferred.
- Proven ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic thinking.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000 DOE
