CUSTODY OFFICERS - HYBRID- Adults and Juveniles (FEMALE CANDIDATES ENCOURAGED TO APPLY)

Starting average annual salary of over $55,000 with no experience required.

Tri-County Community Corrections is seeking applicants to fill Full-Time positions to work in both the Northwest Regional Corrections Center and Red River Valley Juvenile Center. The Hybrid Custody Officers will receive training in both the jail and juvenile center operations and will be scheduled to work select posts in both facilities. This is a great opportunity to get a diverse experience working with both adults and juveniles in a correctional setting.

Strong people skills required; ability to work in a team environment; must be available to work day and evening/night (12) hour shifts and at times on short notice.

SALARY Information:

Starting salary of $22.66 or $24.02/hour depending on which facility the Officer is working in. Wage increases 4% at the conclusion of 6 months of employment with additional wage increases at the successful completion of the first 12 months of employment.

Shift Differential of $1.50/hour on weekends.

Call-in pay of $10/hour if called in to work a shift with less than 48 hours' notice.

Wage/salary enhancements and holiday pay add approximately $2.50/hour on average to the hourly rate of pay over the course of a full year. This number increases with each year of experience.

Training in the use of: Defensive Tactics; Report Writing; Restraint Devices; Emergency Procedures; Communication Skills; Resident Transports and many other topics.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Resident supervision; searches; well-being checks; admission & release of residents; meal delivery and medication delivery.

Education: High School diploma or GED required; Minimum of 21 years of age.

Requirement: Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and active automobile insurance coverage, unless waived by the Executive Director.
