In-Force Financial Assistant/Associate
American Life & Security Corp. - a Midwest Holding company, is a rapidly growing financial services holding company, seeking a customer service-focused, hands-on, and energetic team player to join us as a In-Force Financial Assistant/Associate (depending on experience). We operate as a modern insurance-holding company focused on long-term growth. We aim to foster and cultivate our relationships to sell and administer annuity products through third-party independent marketing organizations (IMOs).
Summary/Objective
We are seeking an experienced In-Force Financial Assistant/Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our policies and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies.
Essential Functions
- Financial Transactions: Handle financial transactions related to in-force policies, such as premium payments, policy loans, withdrawals, and surrenders.
- Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and requests regarding in-force policies, providing accurate information and resolving issues efficiently.
- Data Entry and Maintenance: Ensure all policy data is accurately entered and maintained in the company’s systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as underwriting, claims, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of in-force operations.
Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Some knowledge of insurance regulations and policy administration.
- Ability to analyze and interpret policy documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management systems.
Required Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for the level, you must have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months of customer service experience
- Must be proficient in using a computer
- Experience in the Insurance industry is preferred
To qualify for the level, you must have:
- High School Diploma or AA Degree
- 1-year experience in a similar insurance/annuity-related processing role as a customer service representative or 2 years experience with processing financial transactions.
- Or 6 months of experience internally
- Must be proficient in using a computer
- Must have basic Excel knowledge
- Familiar with work flow management systems.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as needed to complete work and ensure operations/business is not interrupted or slowed.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
