Job Description Summary:

This clinician is responsible for providing mental health services through the OhioHealth Well-Being Center, Employee Assistance Program and Mindfulness Program. Services are provided to associates, providers, and dependent family members of OhioHealth and those of contracted employers, as well as some programming in the community. Services include counseling; crisis assessment, intervention, and management; development and delivery of mental health and well-being psychoeducation; outreach, support, and engagement in care sites across the OhioHealth system; facilitation of team interventions; consultative case reviews and performance referrals; and delivery of mindfulness-based interventions and programming. The clinician can practice independently and without supervision, as permitted by the State of Ohio licensure.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Counseling and Direct Client Care (35%)
Counseling and direct client care includes the completion of biopsychosocial assessments, formulation of appropriate treatment plans and interventions, therapy sessions (individual, couples, family, or group), implementation of treatment plans, discharge planning, and appropriate referrals. Counseling sessions may also include a focus on mindfulness-based interventions.

Participates in identification of cases of abuse, neglect or exploitation and reports such cases to the legally mandated authorities when applicable. Provides crisis intervention, information, referrals, and linkage to community resources as appropriate.

Additionally, actively participates in consultative case reviews and performance referrals, working collaboratively with Human Resources, Advice & Counsel Center, and Associate Health.

Maintains knowledge of external employers OhioHealth contracts with to deliver EAP services.

Completes all documentation of assessments and interventions in the departmental EMR in accordance with regulatory compliance of licensure and department standards. Documents all services and programming delivered appropriately.

Crisis Support (35%)
Crisis support includes serving as the emergency clinician during scheduled times as well as participation in the rotating responsibility of providing on-call coverage during scheduled after-hours times. During these times, the clinician responds to calls from associates and dependent family members with acute crisis needs such as suicidality. Responsible for lethality and risk assessment, crisis intervention, and management, including handoffs and referrals to other levels of care and linkage to community resources as appropriate.

Crisis support also includes completing emergent intake sessions, holding drop-in support at care sites, and participating in the system critical incident response. Works collaboratively with partners across the system as part of critical incident response, particularly Pastoral Care and Provider Well-Being.

Clinical Programming and Collaboration (30%)
Clinical programming includes development and delivery of mental health and well-being presentations and psychoeducation, outreach, support, and engagement in care sites across the OhioHealth system, development and delivery of team interventions, and delivery of mindfulness-based interventions and programming. While each clinician may not perform all of these on a regular basis, a portion of these clinical program offerings will be a regular part of their work, as well as other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's DegreeLISW - Licensed Independent Social Worker - Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, LPCC - Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors - American Counseling Association
