Install a variety of products including fixed frame awnings, retractable awnings, interior and exterior screens (powered and manual), and other items produced or sold by Rainier Shade.
Description
You will work a flexible schedule with occasional overtime required. You will work with a Lead Installer as part of a crew, depending on the size of the job. You will assist in ensuring the job is completed on time and according to plan.

- Ensure that each job is completed according to plan
- Ensure that materials for each job are free of defects
- Ensure that the job site is kept clean and organized and left in an acceptable condition
- Ensure van is kept clean and organized daily

- Operate with a sense of urgency to minimize wasted time
- Use care when handling product to minimize damage
- Keep equipment organized to facilitate job performance

- Communicate with customers to ensure product understanding
- Communicate with office staff to ensure understanding of the job plan and to report any issues encountered

- Understand installation plan as explained by Lead Installer
- Learn installation procedures from Lead Installer
- Document any abnormalities in the installation for each job

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in reading a tape measure
- Skill in basic math
- Knowledge in the use of basic hand and power tools
- Ability to take direction and clearly communicate with coworkers
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (long hours and flexible shifts)
- Knowledge of and skill in the use of personal computer and related software
- Skill in time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Good oral, written and interpersonal communication
- Ability to work independently and take initiative

Experience & Education
- Current Washington State Driver’s License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established Rainier Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state(s).
Salary
$20 - $24 per hour
