Program Description:

Intensive In-Home is time limited family preservation intervention for consumers age 3-20 intended to diffuse the current crisis, evaluate its nature and intervene to reduce the likelihood of a recurrence. The ultimate goal is to stabilize the living arrangement, promote reunification or prevent the utilization of out-of-home therapeutic resources (i.e., psychiatric hospital, therapeutic foster care, and residential treatment facility).

Job Summary:

The Intensive In-Home OP will serve on a team of three (AP, QP and licensed clinician) led by a licensed or provisionally clinician. The team will work together to stabilize the assigned caseload of consumers and their family's living arrangements. The team shall serve caseload of 8 families. This position provides therapeutic interventions to support and guide consumers in all areas of functional domains. This position will report directly to the Intensive In-Home Team Lead. Team Lead will provide individualized clinical supervision according to 10A NCAC 27G .0104.

Job Qualifications:

Candidates must have one year of documented experience with the population served (MH/DD/SA youth ages 3-20). This position requires a Masters degree in human services field and one year of full-time, post graduate accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served; OR graduation from a college or university with a baccalaureate degree in a related human services field and two years full-time baccalaureate accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served; OR graduation from a college or university with a baccalaureate degree in a field not related to human services and four years of full time, post baccalaureate accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served.

Candidate must have skill, knowledge and experience to provide various skill building activities; support on-going treatment and functional gains; one-on-one interventions with the consumer to develop interpersonal and community relational skills; therapeutic mentoring; symptom monitoring and self management of symptoms, etc. Candidate must have the ability to communicate well. Candidate must be able to meet competency on required training's.
