A day in the life.
As our IT Application Support Technician in the Information Technology Department, you’ll be responsible for the following:
The primary function of this position is to provide be the backbone of our operations, providing technical assistance related to back-office software applications, troubleshooting issues, providing support to end users, and ensuring smooth operation, often including user training and documentation updates. The IT Application Support Specialist produces documentation on process flows, issue resolution, procedures, activities and issue management. This position requires excellent analytical and personal soft skills, often working closely with users and vendors for issue resolution. This position also requires frequent and effective communication to users, vendors, stakeholders, and other IT staff. Being a self-starter with good time management and prioritization of tasks is a must for this role.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
· Maintain accurate and timely records in time tracking systems, ticket management systems, asset tracking systems, and monthly status and metrics report repositories
· Manage printers, copiers and MFP devices: deploy, replace toner, add and delete users, clear jams, and perform maintenance
· Licensing for company software deployed to company devices.
· Create, maintain back-office system accounts.
· Setup and manage access to various company related websites
· Set up and train new employees on IT processes
· Help keep all IT related documentation up to date: IT related maps, training documents, inventories, etc.
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
- College Degree preferred (high school diploma is required).
- Proficient MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Applied EPIC AMS knowledge preferred.

Work environment & physical demands.
- Ability to use computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods as well as use office machinery such as fax and copy machines, and telephones.

The applicable base salary range for this role $58,000 to $86,900. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

We are seeking an Application Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our software applications and providing exceptional technical support to our clients. Your contributions will directly enhance our commitment to delivering outstanding service in the insurance industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for software applications used within the organization.
- Troubleshoot software issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Assist with desktop support and ensure optimal performance of IT infrastructure.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory.
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain network security and integrity.
- Document issues and resolutions using ServiceNow or similar tools.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical needs.
- Participate in training sessions for staff on new software applications.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical support or IT support roles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with software applications.
- Familiarity with desktop operating systems such as Windows and macOS.
- Basic understanding of network administration concepts.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with ticketing systems like BMC Remedy or Jira is a plus.
- Knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, and computer hardware is advantageous.
