As a Field Technician with the SEE IT FIX IT team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional IT and AV support to our clients. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing a wide range of technology systems, including network infrastructure, end-user devices, audio-visual setups, and structured cabling.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and troubleshoot customer issues in a professional and efficient manner.
- Provide on-site service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
- Install, repair, and maintain IT and AV equipment, network infrastructure, and related hardware.
- Manage and execute on-site installations, system upgrades, and configuration tasks.
- Diagnose technical issues and implement proper solutions for both IT and AV systems.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports and document all work processes.
- Operate company vehicles safely and utilize field automation systems.
- Adhere to company policies, field procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the Dispatch team and internal support teams to ensure issue resolution.
- Understand customer needs and provide technical recommendations or briefings.
- Build positive customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Technical Responsibilities (IT & AV Focus):
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and end-user connectivity issues.
- Provide emergency on-site support for technical failures.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cat5/Cat6 structured cabling.
- Set up and maintain audio-visual systems, including TVs, projectors, video conferencing systems, and PA setups.
- Provide desktop support, server support, and networking assistance.
- Configure and maintain VoIP phone systems and AV conferencing equipment.
- Install and configure digital signage, video walls, and presentation systems.
- Diagnose and resolve malware, virus, and security issues.
- Document all customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Promote customer survey completion and ensure first-call resolution.
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to interpret schematics, flowcharts, and technical diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both IT and AV environments.
- Ability to teach and communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional approach.
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changes quickly.
- Comfortable working in a structured environment with scheduled rest and meal periods.
- Typing speed of 30-40+ WPM.
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a technical support or field technician role.
- Hands-on experience with hardware/software troubleshooting and installation.
- Knowledge of Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, 11) and macOS platforms.
- Experience with home and business networks (wired and wireless).
- Familiarity with switches, routers, firewalls, printers, IoT devices, and AV equipment.
- Background in internet connectivity (Cable, DSL, Fiber, Satellite, Dial-up).
- AV system installation experience (including cabling, projector mounting, and video conferencing setups).
- Fiber optic cabling experience is a plus.
- Experience with Kali Linux is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Successfully pass a technical test and interview process.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous work-from-home technical support experience is a plus.
