Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving our network, hardware, software, and data security systems. The IT Technician will play a key role in ensuring Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance, supporting both office and shop floor technology, and keeping all systems optimized for peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer network and data security, including directory services, group policy, firewalls, virus protection, and email security.
- Maintain compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework, including implementing required controls, performing security audits, and maintaining documentation.
- Conduct regular system security checks, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments in alignment with CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
- Provide CMMC-related cybersecurity training and guidance to staff.
- Perform scheduled data backups to ensure secure storage of company data.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, and wireless networking equipment.
- Monitor and support servers, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and other connectivity systems to ensure full coverage and minimal downtime.
- Provide timely helpdesk and technical support via phone, remote access, or on-site visits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across both office and manufacturing environments.
- Set up, configure, and optimize equipment for new users and workstations, including shop floor and production systems.
- Support IT needs related to manufacturing systems such as ERP/MRP software, CNC connections, PLC programming interfaces, and other industrial technology.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and service providers for system integration, upgrades, and repairs.
- Assist with the design, testing, and deployment of new technologies and features.
- Document IT processes, configurations, and compliance-related activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years of IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience administering network and data security measures.
- Working knowledge of CMMC requirements (specify level, e.g., Level 2) and experience implementing compliance measures preferred.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 standards.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and common networking protocols.
- Experience supporting ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing equipment connectivity.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications a plus.
Schedule
- On-site Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- Weekends or afterhours as required to keep the system updated and functional
Pay
- $35-$40 per hour
